Exciting things are happening at Howard Harding Park! Over the next couple of weeks, we are anticipating the installation of new swings at the playground. The exact construction date has not yet been confirmed, as timing will depend on weather conditions and equipment delivery.
What to Expect During Construction
A temporary construction fence will be installed around the work area to keep everyone safe while the new equipment is being installed. During this time, access to a portion of the playground will be restricted.
For everyone’s safety, please respect the construction fencing, follow all posted signage, and keep children away from the construction area. We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these improvements are underway.
What’s Being Installed?
The first phase of the playground improvements will include four new swings:
• One disc swing
• One infant-style swing
• Two regular belt swings
We are excited to bring these new play opportunities to families in Stonebridge!
What’s Next for Howard Harding Playground?
The Stonebridge Community Association has set a fundraising goal of $200,000 to enhance the playground and create an even more exciting place for children and families to play.
Rather than waiting until the full fundraising goal is reached, we have decided to complete the project in phases so the community can begin enjoying new equipment sooner.
Once additional funding becomes available, our future plans include:
• Installing a zip-track where the current teeter-totter is located.
• Adding another larger play structure to provide more opportunities for active play.
These future improvements will depend on fundraising progress and the availability of funding.
How You Can Help
We still have a ways to go to reach our $200,000 fundraising goal, and every contribution brings us one step closer to making these plans a reality!
If you would like to support the Howard Harding Playground project, donations are welcome
